Having joined forces with a private developer, London Borough of Lambeth completed a major regeneration scheme in the heart of Lambeth. The project included building 194 hew homes, a New Civic Centre, and the refurbishment of the existing Grade II Listed Town Hall building and new landscaped public areas. We worked alongside the architects, our sister company Cartwright Pickard, to provide workplace consultancy services, ensuring the council successfully adapt to their new civic headquarters and refurbished town hall offices.
Our aim has been to introduce new ways of working, allowing the council to work in a more efficient, collaborative and integrated manner in their new, open plan office accommodations. Alongside the workplace consultancy, we also provided interior design advice, assisting in the selection of furniture, finishes, arts and graphics and the design of bespoke joinery. Materials and colours were carefully selected to respect the character of the building whilst providing a functional space that reflects the council’s spirit and ethos.
