Haringey Civic Centre

Built in 1958, the grade-II listed civic centre was closed in spring 2020 following the discovery of serious safety and structural issues requiring major repair work. Now, the proposed Haringey Civic Centre regeneration will give a valued heritage asset an extended lease of life in public service. It is seeing the Grade 2-listed building in Wood Green High Road fully refurbished and extended on the site of the former carpark at the rear. This will enable the council’s main offices to return to their former location, as well as providing new community and civic spaces, supporting the council’s commitment to work towards a zero carbon estate.

Consarc were appointed to support the council’s internal project team in their client role for the critical stages from briefing to the point of the main contract tender to help formulate their client requirements, return costs to the approved budget, advise on procurement strategy, track performance targets through the design development and report to the project board.
