This complex conversion and new build project in a conservation area in the centre of Salisbury, involved integrating five existing buildings into one new hotel, restaurant, bar and retail development.
This project proposed to substantially restore and adapt two listed (Grade II and II*) buildings, demolish two buildings replacing them with a new build and to adapt a fifth building, retaining its façade, to create a 50-bed boutique townhouse hotel. At ground level the street frontage is to remain active with a fine-dining restaurant, bistro-bar, delicatessen and relocated post office /retail unit.
Undertaking full services inclusive of lead consultant and architect, we coordinated and led building fabric surveys and the planning consultation process. We worked closely with English Heritage and the Salisbury conservation officers to achieve this major consent within such a sensitive townscape context.
